Collegial Leadership to the City Commission

Just as important as citizen participation in government decisions, is the need for the City Commission to act in concert and in a professional manner. The City Commission should set the example of how they expect all city employees to conduct themselves in their relations with the community. The City Commission should be able to understand, accept and utilize community input in all of their deliberations. The City Commission should consider a citywide vision and viewpoint in all of their actions. The City Commission should accept responsibility for their decisions.

I will bring back genuine leadership to the City Commission - a leadership that leads by example. I will bring back a leadership that enthusiastically accepts community input and participation in all government decisions. I will bring back a leadership that serves as a steward for our directors - you, the citizenry. I will bring back a leadership that is held accountable. I will bring back a leadership that takes action when you want it to, and one that does not insulate or hide itself behind the bureaucratic curtain. I will bring back a leadership that represents, and honors, all members of our wonderfully diverse city.
